I happen to have lot of friends scuba divers. I have never scuba dived myself and the whole idea of being 30m under the ocean’s surface “floating” through a shipwreck is one of my biggest fears.
But at the same time I admire the determination, lengths and the amount of energy of each scuba diver they are able to invest in this activity.
When I heard what the Diving Locker (THE best Vancouver Dive Shop) was organizing this time - dive and clean up of the Alice Lake - I saw the amazing photo essay right away. A story about a regular scuba diver person, who invest their free time and resources to go to this distant location and dive to the muddy lake’s bottom to pickup trash someone else left behind. Absolutely selfless act of how to keep our environment beautiful.
